My name is Nathalie Ayotte, I am a 22 year old writer based in Orange County, CA. I grew up in Portland, OR, where I first learned how writing can engage the senses: how words can shape what you see, feel and experience.

In my work i’m often drawn to the often misrepresented quietness and normalcy of romance, especially when contrasting with the engaging intrigue of classic mystery. In my writing, I love escaping into time periods other than my own, such as the strict society of Victorian England or the vibrant, lively culture of the Roaring Twenties.

I am also an actor and musician, so naturally I adore musical theatre. I recently graduated from Chapman University studying Creative Writing and Film.

In the future, I’d love to delve into screenwriting and stage plays, and hopefully short-films of my own!
