About Me
My name is Nathalie Ayotte, I am a 23 year old writer based in Orange County, CA. I grew up in Portland, OR, where I first learned how writing is at the core of every creative project. Good writing is responsible for what the audience understands, and is essential to truly feeling any movie, book, game or song.
In my work i’m often drawn to the often misrepresented quietness and normalcy of romance, especially when contrasting with the engaging intrigue of classic mystery or high fantasy. In my writing, I love escaping into time periods other than my own, such as the strict society of Victorian England or the vibrant, lively culture of the Roaring Twenties. In my current book, I’ve been pulling from my own culture: Poland.
I am also an actor, so naturally I adore movies and screenwriting. I recently graduated from Chapman University studying Creative Writing and Film, both of which have been extremely helpful in understanding scripts to portray on-screen.
In the future, I’d love to delve more into screenwriting and stage plays, and hopefully short-films of my own!
